School Social Worker

Hello! I’m Caitlin Frumerie, the school social worker at Howard Hathaway Elementary. My job is to help students, families, and staff create a positive and safe school environment where every student can do their best, both emotionally and academically.

I work with students who might be going through tough times—whether it's problems with friends, feeling stressed or overwhelmed, or other challenges that might affect their learning. I also partner with teachers and parents to make sure students get the support they need to succeed.

How I Can Help:

  • Short term counseling for students, one-on-one or in groups

  • Assisting with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support student learning

  • Helping students with social and emotional skills

  • Supporting students in times of crisis or conflict

  • Connecting families to helpful community resources

  • Working with teachers to support students in the classroom

My goal is to make sure every student feels supported, heard, and confident. Whether it’s helping a student manage their emotions, build social skills, or feel more comfortable at school, I’m here to help them succeed in and out of the classroom.

Fun Facts About Me:

  • I have a sweet rescue dog named Lizzy who loves to cuddle.
