The Portsmouth Public Schools encourage parents to begin the registration process for Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. During the month of February, a parent/guardian for an eligible student should begin this process by visiting the Registration tab at the top of our district webpage: http://www.portsmouthschoolsri.org and follow the links for Kindergarten Registration and provide all information requested.
This MUST be completed before the in-person registration.
To complete the Kindergarten registration process, a parent/guardian must come in-person to the school administration building to finalize the registration. You can schedule your in-person appointment through the Aspen Portal.
In accordance with Rhode Island law, children registering for kindergarten must be five years old by September 1, 2025. If all pre-registration information has been completed on-line, the appointment should take about 10-15 minutes to complete the process.
